University of Maiduguri Alumni Visit National Hospital in Celebration of VP Kashim Shettima's 57th Birthday
In commemoration of the 57th birthday of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Kashim Shettima, GCON, the FCT Chapter of the University of Maiduguri Alumni Association embarked on a meaningful visit to the National Hospital, Abuja monitored by myschoolnews
Led by the Chairman of the FCT Chapter, Baba Shettima Kukawa, the delegation's mission was rooted in compassion and a commitment to supporting the well-being of patients at the hospital. The visit involved making generous donations and contributions towards the medical bills of patients, alongside offering heartfelt prayers for their recovery.
Baba Shettima Kukawa emphasized the Vice President's wish to celebrate his birthday through acts of charity, focusing on humanitarian deeds rather than conventional media coverage. He called upon fellow Nigerians to replicate such benevolent gestures across the nation.
During their visit, Alumni members encountered a rare medical situation – conjoined twins. One of the twins was born with a congenital heart defect. Mr. Hashiru expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Alumni Association for their empathy and support during this challenging time.
The University of Maiduguri Alumni Association extends its heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency Kashim Shettima, GCON, as well as notable individuals like Chief Sunny Moniedafe (Jagaban Jimeta), Seyi Vodi (CEO, Vodi Group), Halima Buba (MD, SunTrust Bank), Hamisu Medugu (Immediate Past National President), and other esteemed Alumni members for their unwavering support in this charitable endeavor.
