University of Maiduguri and National Institute of Water Resources Sign Historic MoU

In a landmark event, the University of Maiduguri, under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohammed Laminu Mele, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of Water Resources, Kaduna, on Monday, February 17, 2025.
The MoU was signed under the auspices of the National Water Resources Capacity Building Network Centre, UNIMAID.
Dr. Michael O. Nwude, the National Coordinator of the Institute, signed on behalf of the National Institute of Water Resources, Kaduna. This partnership aims to foster collaboration in research, training, and capacity building in the field of water resources management.
The National Institute of Water Resources, Kaduna, is a premier institution dedicated to research, training, and development in water resources management. Its vision is to be the foremost institution for capacity development for sustainable water resources management in Nigeria and internationally .
This MoU signing marks a significant milestone in the University of Maiduguri's efforts to promote sustainable water resources management and capacity building in the region. The partnership is expected to yield fruitful collaborations in research, training, and community development initiatives.
