Unubiko Foundation Rescues Abia State Education with N250 Million School Reconstruction

The Unubiko Foundation, under the leadership of Mrs. Ngozi James and Founder Chief James Ume, completes the N250 million reconstruction of Onyerubi Comprehensive Secondary School in Ndi Oji Abam, Arochukwu, bolstering educational development in Abia State.

In a significant stride towards educational development in Abia State, the Unubiko Foundation, led by Mrs. Ngozi James and Founder Chief James Ume, has successfully completed the reconstruction of Onyerubi Comprehensive Secondary School in Ndi Oji Abam, Arochukwu Local Government Area. The foundation invested a staggering N250 million in the rebuilding project, restoring a school originally established in 1996 that had fallen into a state of disrepair.

As part of their commitment to fostering education in the region, the Unubiko Foundation also initiated a N300 million scholarship grant for Abia State students. The announcement was made during the official flag-off ceremony attended by key figures, including former Delta State Governor, James Ibori.

Commissioning the project on December 26, 2023, Ibori commended Chief Ume for his dedication to community development and selflessness. The former governor emphasized the importance of rural development, stating, "Nigeria’s development should be a village at a time; we all don’t live in the cities."

Ibori expressed gratitude to Chief Ume and the Unubiko Foundation for their efforts in bringing positive change to the community through education. Addressing the community, Ibori urged them to make the most of the new facility and encouraged continued support for Chief Ume and the foundation. He remarked, "Please continue to pray for him (James Ume) and pray for your children too so that God will give them the zeal to come to this school."
