The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has commenced measures to improve the coordination and management of transportation activities across the University campus.
The initiative was discussed at a meeting held on October 2, 2026, involving the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Professor Olawale Dairo, members of the University Transport Committee and representatives of transport operators operating within the campus.
Discussions at the meeting centred on strengthening the University's transport management system and developing effective measures to regulate the movement of vehicles into and out of the campus.
Participants examined ways to improve the orderly movement of vehicles, strengthen traffic coordination and enhance the efficiency of transportation operations across the University.
Particular attention was given to setting new operational targets and improving the day-to-day coordination of the campus transport park in order to establish a more organised and responsive transportation system.

The engagement also provided an opportunity for the University Management and transport operators to identify existing challenges, clarify operational responsibilities and consider practical measures for improving transportation services.
The meeting represents a step towards reinforcing FUNAAB's transport management framework through regular monitoring, better coordination and stronger collaboration between the University and transport operators.
The initiative is expected to promote safer, more efficient and better-coordinated transportation within the University community.
