Use your position to promote peace and unity, Abdul Rahman urges new MSSN leaders

The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has congratulated the newly elected leaders of the Muslims Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), FULafia Branch. 

He said that the Almighty Allah gives leadership which he, added, was about character and capacity.

The vice-chancellor spoke during a meeting he held with the newly elected executives of the MSSN at the Old Senate Chamber.

Abdul Rahman advised them to study harder, saying that a “university is a community where one learns everyday.”

He urged them to be creative, proactive and decisive in the course of leadership, advising them to always consult knowledgeable people before taking action.

He urged the association to promote peace and unity in the University and the society, adding: “Show maturity and humility in your work.”

The vice-chancellor pleaded the students to help the University Management to keep peace in the University.

The Dean, Faculty of Arts, Prof. Muhammad Tanko Aliyu, thanked the vice-chancellor for hosting and advising the students. 

The students appreciated the vice-chancellor for taking his time to lecture them on leadership, promising that they would work with the ideas they have gained from the meeting.
