Usmanu Danfodiyo University Newly Admitted Law Student Dies in Motorcycle Accident

The Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) community is mourning the loss of Fahad Usman, a newly admitted Law student who died in a motorcycle accident on Friday, January 17, 2024.

 

According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred at Kara Junction, near the Pepsi Office, when Fahad, riding with two friends, collided with a tricycle while navigating a sharp, blind corner. Despite receiving medical attention, Fahad succumbed to severe internal injuries just before the Friday Jummah prayer.

The university community is shocked and saddened by the loss of Fahad, who had just begun his academic journey at UDUS. Friends and classmates described him as a bright and promising student who had shown great enthusiasm for his studies.

 

Abatti, a first-year Education Computer Science student and close friend of Fahad, expressed his grief, stating, "We had already made plans to attend classes together when the lecture started fully. This loss is truly heartbreaking."

The university administration has offered condolences to Fahad's family and friends, and counseling services are being provided to support those affected by the tragedy.
