YIAGA Africa Launches "Not Too Young To Run" Hub at Gombe State University

YIAGA Africa, a non-profit organization promoting democratic governance and civic engagement, has launched the "Not Too Young To Run" Hub at Gombe State University (GSU). The launch was marked with a leadership training session for selected student leaders on April 25, 2025.

The event was attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Rasheed Abdulganiyu, who praised YIAGA Africa for empowering young leaders. The Ag Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta, pledged the university's support for the hub, emphasizing the importance of collaborations to enhance the university's global presence.

The "Not Too Young To Run" Hub aims to sensitize and prepare young people for leadership roles. An executive committee was inaugurated to lead the hub's activities at GSU, which is one of two hubs launched in the North East by YIAGA Africa.
