In a major boost to Nigeria’s higher education landscape, Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has secured full accreditation for all 29 academic programmes presented in the October/November 2025 accreditation exercise conducted by the regulatory body.

NUC Confirms Full Accreditation Across All Programmes
The approval was issued by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in an official letter signed by Engr. Abraham Chundusu, Director of Accreditation, on behalf of the Executive Secretary.
Following a comprehensive evaluation across faculties and departments, all 29 programmes submitted by UNIOSUN received full accreditation status—signaling compliance with national academic standards in teaching, curriculum, staffing, and infrastructure.
The accredited programmes cut across key disciplines, including Administration and Management, Allied Health Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Computing, Education, Sciences, and Social Sciences.
Reacting to the development, the Vice-Chancellor of UNIOSUN, Odunayo Clement Adebooye, expressed appreciation to the NUC for the confidence placed in the institution.
He described the outcome as a reflection of years of strategic planning, consistent quality assurance, and sustained investment in academic excellence. According to him, achieving a 100% success rate across all programmes is a milestone that underscores the university’s growing relevance in Nigeria’s higher education system.
The Vice-Chancellor also acknowledged the contributions of staff, students, alumni, and members of the Governing Council in achieving the milestone. He further credited the consistent support of the Osun State Government under Governor Ademola Adeleke for strengthening the university’s academic and infrastructural development.
He noted that these combined efforts have played a critical role in positioning UNIOSUN for sustained academic growth and institutional stability.
