The Iya Abubakar Institute of ICT (IAIICT), Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its Full-Time Diploma and Short Course programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The Iya Abubakar Institute of ICT (IAIICT), Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its Full-Time Diploma and Short Course programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The institute announced that the programmes are designed to provide students with practical digital skills and technical knowledge needed to compete in the growing information and communication technology sector.
Available Diploma Programmes
The two-year full-time diploma programmes available for interested applicants are:
- Diploma in Computer Science
- Diploma in Computer Systems Engineering
- Diploma in Cybersecurity
Applicants seeking admission into the diploma programmes are required to possess at least five O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and other required science subjects, obtained in not more than two sittings.
The diploma application form is available online at https://forms.abu.edu.ng, with an application fee of ₦2,500. Tuition and other associated fees are estimated at ₦60,000.

Short Professional Courses
The institute is also offering short courses aimed at developing professional and workplace-ready ICT skills. The available courses include:
- Basic Digital Skills for Work and Study
- Data Analysis Skills (Microsoft Excel and SPSS)
- Web Design and Development (Front-End)
- Python Essentials
- Data Management and Statistical Data Analysis Using R
The short course application form costs ₦2,000 and can be obtained from the Accountant’s Office at the Institute Building.
Classes for the short courses are scheduled to commence on Monday, September 8, 2026, by 2:00 p.m. at the Institute Building.
