ABU VC visits UI counterpart in Ibadan

In a bid to deepen academic collaboration and strengthen institutional ties, the Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Prof. Adamu Ahmed, on Monday, September 22, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to his counterpart at the University of Ibadan (UI), Prof. Kayode Adebowale.

The meeting, held at the UI Vice-Chancellor’s office in the Administration Block, focused on expanding educational initiatives and creating avenues for joint research between the two leading universities.

During the engagement, both vice-chancellors underscored the importance of fostering stronger partnerships within Nigeria’s higher education sector. Responding, Prof. Adebowale appreciated the visit, noting that such interactions open doors for greater cooperation, knowledge exchange, and practical solutions to pressing educational challenges.

Prof. Ahmed was accompanied on the visit by the Provost of the College of Medical Sciences, Prof. M. S. Shehu, and his Special Assistant, Dr. Sani Ibrahim Kaita.
