Adamawa State University Senate Elects Professor Jimjel W. Zalkuwi to Governing Council

The Senate of Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, has elected Professor Jimjel W. Zalkuwi as its representative to the University's Governing Council. The election was held during the Senate's 128th Regular Meeting on May 29, 2025.

 

The vacancy on the Governing Council arose following the appointment of Professor Augustine Clement as the new Vice-Chancellor of the University. In line with the institution's legal framework, the Vice-Chancellor nominated two eligible Senators for consideration, leading to Professor Zalkuwi's election.

As a seasoned academic and administrator, Professor Zalkuwi brings significant experience to the Governing Council. Her contributions are expected to shape the strategic direction and governance of ADSU.
