ADUSTECH SUG announces successful resolution of students registration fee increment

On December 4, 2023, the President of the ADUSTECH Students' Union Government, alongside esteemed State Union Presidents, engaged in a collaborative discussion aimed at resolving the impending registration fee hike.

The meeting deliberated on the best course of action to mitigate the impact on students. After a thorough and constructive discourse, three viable solutions were mutually agreed upon:

Removal of Total Increment: The possibility of entirely eliminating the proposed fee increment was explored as one potential solution.

2. Partial Fee Reduction: Another resolution considered was the reduction of the fee, ensuring it remains no less than ₦20,000, easing the financial burden on the student body.

3. Payment in Two Semesters: A feasible option is implementing a two-semester payment system for the increased fees, enabling students to pay incrementally in the first and second semesters.

Following this fruitful meeting, the collective delegation proceeded to engage with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Administration to further discuss the concerns raised by the student representatives. We are delighted to report that these discussions yielded a positive outcome.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Administration expressed understanding and empathy towards the students' concerns. He assured the delegation that the administration would carefully consider the proposals put forward, emphasising an anticipation for a positive resolution in favour of the students.

The Office of the Students' Union Government commends the collaborative effort and commitment of all parties involved in seeking an amicable solution to this issue. The SUG Body reassure the students that we will continue to advocate for their best interests and keep them informed of any developments.
