AE -FUNAI Governing Council Commends VC For Staff Friendly Disposition

The Governing Council of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi state, has commended the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Elom, for his staff-friendly disposition and the exceptional performance of the institution in the Times Higher Education (THE) 2023 Impact Ranking of World Universities.

The commendation was contained in a letter personally signed by the Pro-Chancellor/Chairman of Council, Hon. Isa Musa Matori, dated 22nd June, 2023 addressed to the Vice-chancellor.

The letter obtained by Myschoolnews reads in part:

 “Council at its 40th Regular Meeting noted with delight the reports of the Appointments & Promotions Committee (A & PC) on the recommendations for the promotion of twenty (20) academic staff of the university to the professorial rank and the excellent rating of the university by the Times Higher Education (THE) of London on the 2023 ranking of World Universities, as first among public universities in Nigeria.

“Council was particularly fascinated by the report that this is the first time the university is attaining such remarkable feat at a stretch.

“This excellent performance underscores your unwavering commitment to exceptional performance and your staff friendly disposition

“Council is greatly impressed by these developments and commends your efforts in nurturing a future for our young university”, the letter concluded.
