Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Begins Second Semester Lectures for 2025/2026 Academic Session

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has announced the commencement of academic activities for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic session in line with the approved academic calendar.

According to the university management, lectures for the second semester officially began on Monday, June 1, 2026. Deans of faculties have been directed to ensure strict compliance with the schedule and to closely monitor academic activities across departments to guarantee smooth implementation of the semester programme.

The university also reminded students of the approved Add/Drop period, scheduled to run from Monday, June 22 to Saturday, July 4, 2026. Students are expected to make necessary adjustments to their course registrations within this window, as requests for portal reopening after the deadline will not be entertained.

Management urged students to adhere strictly to academic guidelines and ensure timely compliance with registration procedures to avoid disruptions in their academic progress.
