Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila Signs Landmark MoU with Federal Medical Centre, Birnin Kudu
Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federal Medical Centre, Birnin Kudu (FMCBKD), for a ten-year partnership in the training of medical and health sciences students.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Abdulhadi Sale Kumurya, received the management team of FMCBKD, led by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Adamu Abdullahi Atterehamie. The partnership aims to foster collaboration in healthcare, education, and research, benefiting students, staff, and the broader community.
Dr. Atterehamie assured that the hospital would provide an enabling environment for the training of students, emphasizing that the students are their children and deserve kind attention to prosper. He congratulated the new Vice Chancellor and lauded the founder of the university, Sen. Sulaiman Abdurrahaman Kawu Sumaila, OFR, Ph.D, for his foresight in establishing the institution.
The Vice Chancellor commended the Federal Medical Centre for its readiness to partner with the university, stating that the students are well-disciplined and would abide by the hospital's rules and regulations. The MoU signing ceremony was attended by key officials of the university, including the Registrar, Bursar, University Librarian, and Deans of various faculties.
