In the latest academic milestone at Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu Alike Ikwo Ebonyi State, 52 graduates have achieved First Class Honours during the 7th and 8th convocation ceremonies. The Vice Chancellor, Professor Sunday Elom, announced this significant achievement during a briefing with journalists. 

This year's convocation holds special significance as it marks the debut of Ph.D. and Master’s degree students from the university. Among the 3,474 graduating students, 52 attained First Class, while 911 secured Second Class (Upper Division), and 2,088 obtained Second Class (Lower Division). Additionally, 407 students graduated with Third Class, and one student received a pass.

The convocation ceremony will not only celebrate academic achievements but also feature a Research Faire and Arts’ Exhibition. These events will provide a platform for students to showcase their groundbreaking work and innovations to the public.
