American University of Nigeria Receives $6,000 Donation from Friends of Nigeria

The American University of Nigeria (AUN) has received a generous donation of $6,000 from Friends of Nigeria (FON), a group of retired American Peace Corps volunteers.

AUN President Dr. DeWayne Frazier accepted the donation during FON's annual meeting, acknowledging the organization's long-standing support for the university. FON has sponsored various AUN projects over the years, demonstrating their commitment to education and community development in Nigeria.

The donation will support AUN's Feed and Read program, among other initiatives, under the management of Dr. Abubakar Sadiq Husaini, administrator of grants and contracts at AID.

During the presentation, President Frazier expressed gratitude for FON's continued support and highlighted the connections between FON members and AUN's founder. He emphasized the importance of recognizing donors' contributions to the university's mission.
