AOCOED National Alumni Association Visits LASUED, Donates Items to Support University Activities

The Management of Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Bidemi Bilkis Lafiaji-Okuneye, received representatives from the Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCOED) National Alumni Association on a courtesy visit on Friday, December 12, 2025.

The purpose of the visit and subsequent donation was for the alumni to give back to their alma mater, AOCOED, which officially transmuted into LASUED on February 2, 2022, alongside the Michael Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED).

During the meeting, Vice-Chancellor Professor Lafiaji-Okuneye commended the association for identifying with the university through their gesture, noting that it would strengthen collaboration between the university management and the alumni association of its legacy institution.

The National President of the AOCOED Alumni Association, Dr. Akintolure Oluwashina, described the donation as a demonstration of support for the university management and its vision.

Items donated by the association to support academic and non-academic activities included ten laptops, two Public Address Systems (PAS), twelve plastic chairs, and 5,000 pieces of customized nylon bags for the University Health Centre pharmacy.

Other university officials present, including Registrar Mr. Akinfemiwa Opeoluwa Akinlabi and Bursar Mr. Ganiu Ajose Adeniyi, lauded the donation as a foundational step toward a mutually beneficial relationship between the university and its legacy alumni body.
