The engagement reflects a broader push by industry stakeholders to deepen their involvement in technical education and bridge the gap between academic training and labour market demands.

The Rector of the institution, Victor Okolobah, was noted for promoting a leadership approach focused on strategic partnerships, inclusiveness, and institutional growth through stakeholder engagement.

Both parties expressed optimism that the collaboration, once fully developed, will contribute to strengthening skills development, improving employability outcomes, and expanding opportunities for students within Nigeria’s oil and gas sector ecosystem.
