ASR Africa Initiative Launches Construction of 500-Capacity Lecture Theatre at Nasarawa State University
The Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative (ASR Africa) has commenced the construction of a 500-capacity lecture theatre at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
The project is part of ASR Africa's efforts to support the development of the university and advance education in Nigeria.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, expressed her gratitude to ASR Africa for its investment in the university. She noted that the initiative's support demonstrates its commitment to empowering future generations.
Dr. Ubon Udoh, Managing Director and CEO of ASR Africa Initiative, congratulated the university on being selected for the project. He assured that the contractors will complete the project within six months and expressed confidence in the partnership between ASR Africa and the university.
The event was attended by principal officers of the university, members of staff, and dignitaries. The lecture theatre is expected to enhance the learning experience for students and contribute to the university's academic excellence.
ASR Africa's investment in Nasarawa State University is part of its broader efforts to support education and development in Africa. The initiative has previously supported other universities in Nigeria, including Adamawa State University, Mubi .
