ASUU Congratulates Newly Appointed Professors and Readers in UDUS

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (ASUU-UDUS), has congratulated twelve academic staff members following their promotion to the ranks of professor and reader. The promotions were recently approved by the Governing Council of the university and represent a significant milestone in the academic careers of the beneficiaries.

Among those elevated to the rank of Professor are Prof. Abubakar Muhammad Gummi, Prof. Tukur Muhammad Mukhtar, Prof. Rabiu Aliyu Rambo, Prof. Sabo Muhammad Kabir, Prof. Zayyanu Musa Dogondaji, Prof. Sadiku Shaibu Adona, Prof. Ibrahim Malami, and Prof. Tijjani Rabiu Giyade.

Similarly, four distinguished scholars were promoted to the rank of Reader. They are Dr Sirajo Abubakar Zauro, Dr Onuiqwe Festus, Dr Yakubu Shaba, and Dr Abdullahi Muhammad Bello.

In a statement signed by the Chairperson of ASUU-UDUS, the union described the promotions as a recognition of the recipients’ dedication, hard work, and outstanding contributions to teaching, research, and community service. The union noted that the achievement reflects the high academic standards and commitment to excellence upheld by the promoted scholars over the years.

ASUU-UDUS further expressed confidence that the newly promoted Professors and Readers would continue to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the university, the academic community, and the nation at large. The union added that their elevation would serve as motivation for younger academics striving for excellence in their respective fields.

The union congratulated the beneficiaries and their families on the well-deserved achievement, praying for continued wisdom, good health, and greater accomplishments in their academic careers. It also wished them fruitful years ahead in service to humanity and the advancement of knowledge.
