ATAPOLY Approves Proposal for Seven New Health and Management Diploma Programs

During its 151st Academic Board Meeting (ABM), the Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAPOLY), Bauchi, unanimously approved a proposal to introduce six new National Diploma (ND) programs and one Higher National Diploma (HND) program. 

The proposal, presented by the Registrar, Malam Lawal Sambo, aims to expand the academic offerings under the institution's School of Science and Technology.

The decision to mount these programs is driven by the growing demand for quality healthcare service delivery and the need to align with Nigeria’s National Health Development policy. The institution confirmed that it currently possesses the necessary manpower, specialized equipment, and physical infrastructure to support these new courses. 

The institution is now set to seek formal accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for the following:

Path to Accreditation

While the internal academic board has given the green light, the formal commencement of these programs is subject to the successful inspection and accreditation by the NBTE. This expansion is expected to position ATAPOLY as a key contributor to the training of middle-level health and management professionals in the region.
