ATBU Releases Approved List of SIWES Supervisors for 2025/2026 Academic Session

The Directorate of Industrial Training Coordinating Unit, ITCU, of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, ATBU, Bauchi, has released the list of approved Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme, SIWES, Supervisors for the 2025/2026 academic session.

In a memo dated 8th September, 2026, and addressed to all SIWES Supervisors, the Director of ITCU appreciated Coordinators and Supervisors for their dedication in discharging their mandate, noting that their efforts have contributed significantly to the progress of the SIWES Programme, ITCU, and the University as a whole.

The Directorate stated that the memo was to inform supervisors of their approved appointments and respective states of supervision.

It further advised supervisors to strictly operate within the state or states assigned to them. According to the memo, the original list and students’ logbooks will be verified by officials of the Industrial Training Fund, ITF.

The ITCU also announced that students’ placement forms containing the complete addresses of SIWES placement centres are ready for collection at the ITCU Directorate, Yelwa Campus.

However, the Directorate noted that supervisors may conduct virtual supervision where the student’s place of SIWES attachment poses a security threat.

The release of the list is expected to streamline the supervision process and ensure proper monitoring of ATBU students undertaking industrial training across the country.
