ATBU Students’ Union Government Announces Hostel Accommodations Now Open for Booking

The Students' Union Government (SUG) of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has successfully engaged with the University Management to secure the opening of hostel accommodations for the student body.

In a special bulletin dated January 26, 2026, the SUG announced that eligible students are now advised to proceed with their hostel bookings promptly to secure their accommodation for the semester.

The SUG, under the leadership of President Comr. Shariff A. Toro, acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the delay in opening the hostels and accepted full responsibility for the timing.

"We take full responsibility for this and appreciate the patience and understanding shown by the student body throughout this period," the bulletin stated.

The union leadership highlighted the effectiveness of ongoing advocacy and engagement processes, expressing confidence that continuous support from the student body will lead to further meaningful progress on welfare issues.
