Borno State University Appoints New Principal Officers

Borno State University (BOSU) has appointed three new principal officers to assume duty effective December 16, 2024. The appointments are for a five-year tenure.

 

The new appointees are:

 

- Hajiya Jallaba Musa Sheikh as Registrar

- Malam Dunoma Kyari Dunoma as Bursar

- Dr. Hamsatu Kadala Ali as University Librarian

Hajiya Jallaba M. Sheikh, the new Registrar, hails from Maiduguri Metropolis and previously served as Director and Head of Admissions at the University of Maiduguri.

 

Malam Dunoma Kyari Dunoma, the new Bursar, is from Manguno Local Government Area of Borno State and previously held the position of Deputy Bursar at the University of Maiduguri.

 

Dr. Hamsatu Kadala Ali, the new University Librarian, hails from Hawul Local Government Area of Borno State. She previously served as Acting Librarian at Federal University Gashua and Head of Department of Library and Information Science.

Prof. Emeritus Abubakar Mustapha and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Babagana Gutti congratulated the new appointees, urging them to contribute to the university's progress and development.

 

Outgoing Registrar Zanna Mustapha Kashim commended all interview candidates and urged the new appointees to support management in building a vibrant university.

 

The new principal officers pledged to deliver their best efforts in their respective roles.
