BOUESTI Ends Tuition Fee Installment Payment, Introduces Full Payment Policy

The Governing Council of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology (BOUESTI), Ikere-Ekiti, has approved the discontinuation of tuition fee payment by installments, with the new policy taking effect from the 2026/2027 academic session.

The decision was reached at the Council's meeting held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

Under the new policy, the existing arrangement that allowed students to pay 60 per cent of their tuition fees in the first semester and the remaining 40 per cent in the second semester has been abolished.

Consequently, all students will now be required to pay their approved tuition fees in full at the beginning of each academic session before completing their registration.

The University stated that it will strictly enforce its "No Payment, No Registration, No Examination" policy. Students who fail to pay their tuition fees in full at the commencement of the session will not be registered, will be barred from participating in academic activities, and will not be eligible to sit for University examinations.

To ease the financial burden on students, the management encouraged those facing financial difficulties to take advantage of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), the Federal Government's student loan scheme designed to support eligible Nigerian students.

The University also directed all students who are yet to fully pay their tuition fees for the 2025/2026 academic session to settle their outstanding balances without further delay.

Management warned that appropriate measures would be taken to recover all outstanding debts, stressing that no student indebted to the University would be allowed to participate in any University examination until all fee obligations are fully settled.

The University urged students, parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to take note of the directive and ensure full compliance.
