Brazilian Consulate Team Visits Lagos State University

A delegation from the Consulate of Brazil in Lagos, led by Acting Consul General Mr. Celso de Arruda França, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, on June 4, 2025.

The purpose of the visit was to observe, learn, and meet with students to gather reports that would enhance the Brazilian government's academic mobility programme. The Acting Consul General emphasized the importance of LASU's role in bilateral mechanisms, particularly with the Lagos State University Centre for Afro-Brazilian Studies (LASUCAS).

The Vice-Chancellor, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Professor Oseni Afisi, appreciated the Consul General for the visit and highlighted the significance of understanding the past to forge ahead in the future. The visit aimed to enrich the work being done and foster a growing relationship between LASU and the Consulate of Brazil.
