 In a captivating interactive session at Caleb University, Nollywood star Yemi Solade and renowned movie director Teco Benson shared their journey and experiences in the Nigerian entertainment industry. The event, titled "Cinematography Sequence: Nollywood Then and Now – Focus on the Place of Veterans in Today’s Nollywood Space," was organized by Dr. Olugbenga Charles Adewale from the Department of Mass Communication.

The session saw Solade and Benson recount the evolution of Nollywood over the past 50 years, offering valuable tips for aspiring actors and filmmakers.

Yemi Solade shared his inspiring journey from abandoning law for dramatic arts due to his passion for filmmaking. He highlighted the significant role of Nollywood in promoting cultural heritage and listed the key ingredients for success in the industry: authenticity, passion, continuous learning, and staying true to one's roots.

Teco Benson advised aspiring entertainers to be prepared, objective, and disciplined. He emphasized the importance of knowing one's goals and staying focused.
