Caleb University Achieves Top 20 Global Ranking, Earns Best Private University Title in Nigeria

Caleb University, located in Imota, Lagos, has attained a remarkable milestone by securing the 18th position globally in the 2024 World University rankings by Times Higher Education (THE). This prestigious recognition comes on the heels of the university being named the 'Best Private University' in Nigeria for the year 2024. The announcement was made by Prof. Nosa Owens-Ibie, the Vice-Chancellor of Caleb University, through a statement issued by the university's Media and Information Officer, Mr. Olawale Adekoye, on Friday in Lagos.

Prof. Owens-Ibie emphasized that this achievement underscores Caleb University's steadfast dedication to academic excellence, cutting-edge research, and the overall success of its students. He expressed pride in the institution's ascent to the global stage, highlighting its continuous commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and producing graduates who positively impact societies worldwide.

He noted that the institution has consistently demonstrated comprehensive excellence in addressing critical global challenges such as environmental sustainability, social inclusion, and economic growth.

In response to the latest ranking, Prof. Olalekan Asikhia, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor responsible for Research, Innovation, Strategy, and Administration (RISA), highlighted the university's strategic planning efforts. He revealed that Caleb University had initially aimed to break into the top 30 Nigerian universities by 2024 but surpassed expectations by securing a top 20 global position ahead of schedule.
