Christiana Salmwang Appointed New Lagos State NYSC Coordinator, Succeeds Baderinwa

Christiana Salmwang has been appointed as the new NYSC Coordinator for Lagos State, succeeding Mrs. Yetunde Baderinwa. A statement from Mrs. Olatoye Christy, Assistant Director of Information and Public Relations, confirmed the appointment.

Mrs. Christiana Salmwang has officially assumed the role of Coordinator for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Lagos State. She succeeds Mrs. Yetunde Baderinwa, the former State Coordinator.

The announcement was made in a statement released by Mrs. Olatoye Christy, the Assistant Director of Information and Public Relations, NYSC Lagos.

Mrs. Salmwang, a native of Langtang North Local Government Area in Plateau State, is a seasoned administrator with over two decades of experience in the NYSC. She is a Sociology graduate of Bayero University, Kano, and holds a Master’s Degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy.

Having joined the NYSC in 1998, Mrs. Salmwang has served in various capacities across several NYSC formations, including Kaduna, Plateau, and the NYSC Directorate Headquarters. She was previously the State Coordinator for Enugu State before her new posting to Lagos, making her the 24th State Coordinator for NYSC Lagos.
