CMD FUTH Lafia Calls for Collaboration with Francophone Nations on Health Research

The Chief Medical Director, Federal University Teaching Hospital, Lafia, Dr. Ikrama Hassan, on Tuesday attended the graduation ceremony of Batch "A" of the French Class at the French Resource Centre, Federal University of Lafia, where he stressed the need for collaboration with neighboring Francophone nations to strengthen health and vaccine research in the fight against diseases.

Dr. Hassan reiterated that the hospital deemed it necessary to sponsor young researchers from the Centre for Vaccines Research and Biotechnology to learn French in order to enhance international collaboration and research output.

Earlier in her welcome address, the Acting Director of the FULAFIA French Resource Centre, Dr. Princess Agbor Enu, commended the Chief Medical Director for facilitating members of staff from the hospital to study French at the centre. She described him as one of the major collaborators of the centre.
