COOU to Host Inaugural Safety and Emergency Workshop to Mark World Safety Day

Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University COOU is set to host an inaugural workshop on security accident emergency and safety as part of activities marking World Safety Day

The event is being organised by the Students Accident Emergency and Safety Unit of the university and is designed to strengthen awareness and institutional preparedness on safety related issues within the campus community

According to the programme announcement the workshop will focus on the theme Global Perspectives on Safety Culture A Legislation on Organizational Practices with emphasis on improving safety standards emergency response systems and institutional compliance frameworks

The event is scheduled to hold on Tuesday April 28 2026 at the ETF Auditorium Igbariam Campus beginning at 10am

University authorities noted that the workshop will bring together stakeholders to discuss practical approaches to safety culture within academic institutions and explore global best practices that can be adapted to the university environment
