DELSU Extends 2026/2027 Post-UTME Screening Application Deadline

Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has extended the deadline for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry online screening registration, giving prospective applicants additional time to complete their applications.

The university announced that candidates now have until July 13, 2026, to register for the screening exercise.

According to the management, the extension is aimed at accommodating candidates who recently changed their institution of first choice to DELSU, allowing them sufficient time to complete their online screening registration.

DELSU also reaffirmed that its admission requirements and screening criteria for the 2026/2027 academic session remain unchanged.

To be eligible for the screening exercise, candidates must have scored a minimum of 150 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The university stated that admission screening will be based on a composite grading system, with the UTME score accounting for 70 per cent of the total assessment, while O'Level results will contribute the remaining 30 per cent.

The management urged candidates who are yet to complete their applications, as well as those who recently switched their first-choice institution to DELSU, to take advantage of the extension and submit their online screening applications before the new deadline of July 13, 2026.
