Ebonyi State University (EBSU) has announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session, inviting eligible candidates to apply through its official admission portal.

The application exercise is open to candidates who selected EBSU as their first choice, as well as those willing to change their institution to EBSU, provided they scored 150 and above in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The application window runs from May 22, 2026 to June 22, 2026.

Key eligibility and application conditions include:

  • Minimum UTME score of 150 and above
  • First choice candidates or those willing to switch to EBSU
  • Eligibility for candidates awaiting WAEC (May/June), NECO (June/July), or NABTEB O’level results
  • Consistency of candidate names across all academic and registration documents
  • Mandatory online screening (no physical screening required)
  • O’level results must be uploaded to both EBSU portal and JAMB CAPS
  • Admission offers must be accepted on JAMB CAPS within two weeks

Direct Entry candidates are also required to participate in the online screening process and ensure verification of their A’level results through their respective institutions on the JAMB portal before admission consideration.

Mode of application and payment procedure:

  • Visit the official EBSU Post-UTME portal
  • Click on “Online Application Forms”
  • Select either Post-UTME or Direct Entry application form
  • Enter JAMB registration number in correct format
  • Generate payment invoice
  • Pay at any bank or via debit card online
  • Return to portal to complete application form
  • Use a valid personal email address and phone number

The university emphasized that incomplete or inconsistent information may lead to disqualification and advised candidates to strictly adhere to all guidelines.
