Edo State University Iyamho has announced a significant boost to its healthcare and medical education facilities following the official handover of new medical equipment to the Edo State University Teaching Hospital (ESUTH).
The handover ceremony, which took place on Monday, September 29, 2025, saw the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Victor Olawale Adetimirin, formally present the items, which were generously donated by distinguished orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. M. D. Saliu-Lawal.
The donated equipment is intended to serve a dual purpose: enhancing clinical training for the University's medical students and improving the quality of healthcare delivery for patients.

An adjustable operating table
An autoclave
An X-ray viewer
Clinical beds
Other essential medical equipment
During his remarks, Professor Adetimirin commended Dr. Saliu-Lawal for the philanthropic gesture. He also used the opportunity to urge the hospital management to prioritize the proper utilization and meticulous maintenance of the equipment to ensure it fully achieves its intended goals of supporting medical education and patient care for years to come.
