ELECTION: AAU Ekpoma issues urgent notice to students on the use of LMS during election break

The Management of the Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma has issued an urgent notice to students of the University on the use of the Learning Management System (LMS) during the election break, Myschoolnews gathered.

This was contained in a memo released and signed by the University acting registrar Mr. Ambrose. E. on Monday, 20th February 2023.

The memo reads below;

The Senate at its emergency meeting held on Friday, 17 February, 2023 deliberated extensively on the directive of the National Universities Commission (NUC) to close down all Universities for the General Elections Senate noted the directive and approved that non-virtual academic activities in the University be suspended and students vacate the halls of residence with effect from Wednesday, 22 February 2023 and retum to campus on Tuesday, 14 March 2023.

Students of Ambrose Alli University will, during the period, receive lectures from their homes through the Learning Management System (LMS). By this, all academic staff are directed to compulsorily key into the use of LMS to teach their courses to ensure there is no vacuum in teaching and leaming during the period under reference. It should be emphasised that only students who have paid their school fees in full will have access to the LMS, and Continuous Assessment (CA) tests shall take place on the LMS during the election break.

The purpose of the foregoing is to inform all concerned of Senate's decisions to be guided accordingly.
