In what has been described as the most transparent election in the history of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Comrade Emmanuel Ajala has clinched victory in the fiercely contested Students' Union election.

Comrade Emmanuel Ajala secured a total of 2027 votes, outstripping his closest contender, Ikechukwu Uformadu, who garnered 1448 votes.

The Chief Electoral Commissioner, Ogunsina Ibrahim, officially declared the election concluded and announced the winners through the institution's ICT monitoring screen. The elected officials include:

Vice President: Bethel Olorunfunmi

General Secretary: Ibrahim Oguntade

Assistant General Secretary: Opeyemi Alonge

Public Relations Officer: Faith Julius

Financial Secretary: Precious Olanipekun

Treasurer: Ahmed Adeleye

Welfare Officer: Abass Ismail

Transport Officer: Emmanuel Adebayo

Social Director: Damilola Tejumola

Following the announcement, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwole Banjo FWISON, FASN, FAIMP, dFSIN, extended his congratulations to the newly elected student leaders. He reaffirmed his commitment to an open-door policy and urged the student leaders to collaborate in maintaining peace and stability within the institution.

The election outcome reflects a significant milestone in the democratic process of TASUED, highlighting a renewed sense of engagement and participation among the student body.
