Federal Fire Service Pays Courtesy Visit to AUM Acting Vice Chancellor, Presents Fire Extinguisher and Pledges Support for Campus Safety
The Acting Vice Chancellor of Al-Ansar University Maiduguri, Prof. Fanna Inna Abdulrahman, today received a courtesy visit from the Federal Fire Service, led by the Zonal Comptroller for Borno/Yobe Zone “R”, Haruna A. Joji, in the company of his personnel, including the Head of Training, Head of Administration, Welfare Officer, Finance Assistant, and Public Relations Officer.
The delegation visited to congratulate the Acting Vice Chancellor on her appointment and to express their desire to maintain a strong working relationship with the University. They also emphasized their willingness to collaborate in areas such as staff training on emergency response, safety awareness, and fire prevention measures.
As a symbol of partnership and readiness, Comptroller Haruna A. Joji presented Prof. Fanna with a fire extinguisher, highlighting the importance of practical preparedness in case of emergencies.
In her remarks, Prof. Fanna expressed deep appreciation for the thoughtful gesture and commended the Federal Fire Service for their commitment to public safety. She noted that safety and security are collective responsibilities and welcomed collaboration, especially in hazardous chemical control and laboratory safety.
