Federal Government Declares June 6 and 9 as Public Holidays for Eid-ul-Adha Celebration

The Federal Government has declared Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays to commemorate this year's Eid-ul-Adha celebration.

Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement in a statement issued on behalf of the Federal Government.

In his message, Tunji-Ojo congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and the diaspora, urging them to embody the spirit of sacrifice, obedience, and faith exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim. He also called on Nigerians to use the Eid period to pray for peace, unity, and prosperity in the country .

Tunji-Ojo reaffirmed the government's commitment to delivering reforms that improve the lives of Nigerians under President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda. The minister urged all Nigerians to support the government's efforts to restore Nigeria's glory as a great nation .
