Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny Warns Public Against Admission Fraudsters

The management of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas (FPOG), Bonny, has warned prospective students and members of the public to disregard individuals demanding payment for admission forms into the institution.

In a disclaimer issued by the polytechnic, the management said it had become aware of fraudulent individuals extorting unsuspecting admission seekers under the guise of facilitating admission into the institution.

The institution clarified that it does not sell forms for admissions processed through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and does not conduct admission-related transactions through individuals.

According to the management, the polytechnic operates as a corporate institution guided by established laws and procedures, stressing that it will never demand money from candidates in exchange for admission.

The management further stated that no member of staff is authorised to collect money from prospective students for admission purposes and urged the public to remain vigilant against fraudsters seeking to exploit unsuspecting applicants.
