Federal Polytechnic Oko's Rector Inaugurates New SUG Executive

The Federal Polytechnic Oko has inaugurated its new Students Union Government (SUG) executive, led by President Comrade Anuluonye Ifechukwu Joseph and Vice President Comrade Nweke Kosarachi. The inauguration ceremony, held on September 9, 2025, was officiated by Rector Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie.

During the ceremony, Dr. Awuzie charged the new SUG executive to be peaceful and responsible ambassadors of the institution. She emphasized the importance of unity, respect, and dialogue in achieving common goals. The Rector also reminded the students of the management's commitment to zero tolerance for cultism, examination malpractices, and other anti-social vices.

The SUG President, Comrade Anuluonye Ifechukwu Joseph, pledged to work in alignment with the Rector's vision for the Polytechnic. He promised to introduce innovative transport strategies and improve students' welfare. The Director of Students' Affairs, Comrade Chibuzo Asomugha, commended the Rector and management for ensuring a successful and peaceful election process.
