The Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) in Katsina State will host its 9th convocation ceremony, graduating over 4,000 students, including 44 first-class honorees.
Katsina State's Federal University, Dutsinma (FUDMA), is gearing up for its 9th convocation ceremony, where it will confer degrees on over 4,000 students, including 44 who have achieved first-class honors. According to the institution's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Armaya’u Bichi, a total of 4,088 graduates will be celebrated at the event, spanning across diploma, master's, and doctoral programs.
As a highlight of the convocation, the wife of the President, Remi Tinubu, will be awarded an honorary Doctorate in the English Language. This recognition is in acknowledgment of her dedicated efforts to advance girl-child education, her involvement in securing the release of university students held captive by bandits, and her notable contributions to women's empowerment across the nation. In addition, a newly refurbished 36-bed female hostel will be renamed in her honor, symbolizing FUDMA's appreciation for her influence and service.
The convocation is anticipated to bring together notable guests from various sectors to celebrate the achievements of FUDMA's graduating class and acknowledge the impactful contributions of Mrs. Tinubu to education and gender equity in Nigeria.
