In a strategic move to align students with global media industry standards, the Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) has introduced a mandatory professional dress code for all students within the Department of Mass Communication.

The initiative, officially announced by the Mass Communication Students’ Association (MACOSA) as the 2025/2026 academic session progresses into January 2026, is designed to instill professional discipline and cultivate a distinct corporate identity for future media practitioners.

The leadership of MACOSA emphasized that the move is not merely about aesthetics but about building a "professional mindset" early in the students' academic journeys. The policy has sparked significant conversation on campus, with the administration supporting the move as part of its broader commitment to producing industry-ready graduates.
