Federal University of Education, Zaria Student Emerges 4th in COEASU National Competition
Shehu Bala, a Mathematics/Computer student at the Federal University of Education, Zaria (FUE Zaria), has emerged 4th in the Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU) National Competition. He won a cash prize of ₦500,000.
The annual competition brings together participants from federal and state Colleges of Education across Nigeria. Shehu Bala represented the North-West Zone, which comprises 17 Colleges of Education, after clinching the 1st position at the zonal stage.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, congratulated Shehu Bala for bringing pride and honour to the University. He emphasized that Shehu's achievement reflects the high standards of teaching, mentorship, and academic excellence at FUE Zaria.
The Chairman of COEASU, FUE Zaria Chapter, Dr. Ubale Alhaji, stated that Shehu Bala's selection was strictly on merit after a rigorous assessment of students' academic records.
