Federal University of Education, Zaria Urges NELFUND Beneficiaries to Update Payment Details
The Federal University of Education, Zaria, has urged NELFUND beneficiaries who have not received their N20,000 upkeep allowance due to using Microfinance or Wallet Account Numbers to update their payment details.

The Scholarship Unit of the Federal University of Education, Zaria, has issued an important notice to students who were successfully shortlisted in the first batch of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) but have yet to receive their N20,000 upkeep allowance.
According to the statement signed by Abdullahi Bashir BawanAllah, the Desk Officer for Scholarships, the delay is due to the use of Microfinance or Wallet Account Numbers by some beneficiaries. Affected students are required to submit a formal complaint letter to the Vice-Chancellor through their respective Heads of Department and the Desk Officer at the Scholarship Unit.
The letter should include essential details such as the student’s serial number from the shortlisted list, registration number, full name, JAMB number, phone number, old account details, and the new account details for payment processing.
Students are instructed to submit their letters at the Scholarship Unit, located at the Micro-Teaching Lab in the School of General Education, on or before Friday, February 28, 2025.
For further inquiries, students may contact the Scholarship Unit via the following phone numbers: 08037413736, 09138143127, or 08033785188.
This development is aimed at ensuring that all eligible students receive their allowances promptly as the 2024/2025 academic session begins.
