Federal University of Lafia to Host 5th Annual National Conference on Climate Change, Food Crisis, and Socio-Economic Malaise

The Faculty of Social Sciences at the Federal University of Lafia is organizing its 5th annual national conference, scheduled for October 21-24, 2024.

The theme of the conference is "Climate Change, Food Crisis, and Socio-Economic Malaise in Contemporary Nigeria."

The conference aims to address various sub-themes, including socio-economic crisis and food security, climate change and agricultural productivity, politics and national development, and more. The keynote speaker will be Professor Theophilus Daniel Lagi from Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

The conference will take place at the Mal. Adamu Adamu Complex, Federal University of Lafia, and will be chaired by Dr. Faisal Shuaibu (OON). The deadline for submission of abstracts is July 22, 2024, while full papers should be submitted by August 26, 2024.
