FG Nullifies Appointments of Provost, Registrar, and Bursar at FCE Odugbo Over Procedural Breaches

 The Federal Ministry of Education has directed the Governing Council of the Federal College of Education (FCE), Odugbo, Benue State, to immediately nullify the appointments of its Provost, Registrar, and Bursar. 

The directive, contained in a letter dated March 2, 2026, cited significant violations of established regulations during the selection process.

The Ministry of Education, in a letter by Dr. Uchenna Uba on behalf of Minister Dr. Tunji Alausa, noted that the appointments violated the Conditions of Service for Colleges of Education and approved CONTEDISS 15 modalities, ignoring previous instructions to halt the process.

The Governing Council has been directed to cancel the appointments, retrieve all letters, and re-advertise the positions in line with legal requirements, with specific instructions to initiate a new, compliant process for the Provost position.
