Fidelity Bank CEO Nneka Onyali-Ikpe Appointed Chairperson of Nwafor Orizu College of Education
Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, appoints Fidelity Bank Managing Director, Nneka Onyali-Ikpe, as the new chairperson of the Governing Council at Nwafor Orizu College of Education, signaling a commitment to education excellence.

In a significant move that underscores the commitment to advancing education in Anambra State, Governor Chukwuma Soludo has appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Bank, Nneka Onyali-Ikpe, as the new Chairperson of the Governing Council of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe. This announcement, made by Soludo's Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, reflects the governor's focus on bringing experienced and accomplished professionals into leadership positions within the state's educational institutions.
In addition to Onyali-Ikpe's appointment, the new governing council comprises a diverse and highly qualified team. Joining Onyali-Ikpe are Chief Fidelis Nweke, Prof. (Rev Sis) Uju Marie-Esther Dibua, Ven (Dr) Rex C. Kanu, and Prof. Celestine Uzoma Aguoru. These distinguished members bring varied expertise from different sectors, reinforcing Soludo's commitment to a robust and merit-based governance structure for the college.
The governor also announced the appointment of Dr. Justina Anyadiegwu as the Provost of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, replacing Dr. Ifeyinwa Osegbo after the conclusion of her tenure.
Dr. Anyadiegwu brings to the position over 18 years of experience as a senior lecturer at the college, with a proven track record in education. Her academic background is impressive, holding a Ph.D. in English/Language Arts/Teacher Education from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. Additionally, her experience as a consultant trainer with the British Council Nigeria further demonstrates her expertise and dedication to the educational sector.
