Reflecting on the deeper significance of the festival, Dr. Okolobah stated that Eid al-Adha serves as a profound period to honor the sacrifice, resolve, and absolute commitment to God demonstrated by Prophet Abraham. He added that the conclusion of the holy Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca stands as a powerful testament to how faith can transcend geographical boundaries and unite humanity under the banners of fellowship and love.

A central focus of the Rector's message was a compassionate call to remember vulnerable populations during the festive season. Dr. Okolobah urged the public to remember the millions of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) across Nigeria and the world who are spending the sacred holiday separated from their families and facing uncertain futures.

"As a community, we remain committed to welcoming ideas and collaborations that would help displaced people in search of a better life," the Rector stated. He emphasized that the true spirit of Eid must manifest through principled service, community togetherness, and compassionate generosity toward those in need.

Dr. Okolobah concluded the address by wishing the entire nation a peaceful holiday, offering the traditional blessing of "Eid Mubarak" on behalf of the entire FPOG community.
