FUEZ Vice-Chancellor Receives NUPEMCO Delegation to Discuss Staff Pension Welfare

In a move to strengthen the financial security and future wellbeing of university staff, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Zaria (FUEZ), Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, hosted a high-level delegation from the Nigerian University Pension Management Company Limited (NUPEMCO) in his office today, Friday, 20th February 2026. 

The visiting team was led by Mr. Samaila Bitrus Ndangraz, the Head of Human Resources and Administration at NUPEMCO.

The meeting focused on the effective management of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) within the university. Prof. Bunkure emphasised that his administration remains deeply committed to ensuring that the rights and retirement benefits of all staff members are protected and managed with the utmost transparency and efficiency. 

"The welfare of our staff extends beyond their active years in service. Partnering with NUPEMCO ensures that our employees can look forward to a secure and dignified retirement," the Vice-Chancellor stated during the reception.

In his remarks, Mr. Ndangraz commended the Vice-Chancellor for his proactive approach to staff welfare. He provided an update on the latest pension management policies and reaffirmed NUPEMCO’s readiness to provide the necessary technical support to ensure that FUEZ remains compliant with the National Pension Commission (PenCom) guidelines.
